End of year fun!

This is the last post of the year!  Looking back it is always amazing to me how we fit so much into one year...

The last week was PACKED with fun and exciting events!

We finished our rocket building STEM challenge with some test launches on the stomp rocket, and some revising of rocket models!

We went to Ft. Greeley near Delta on a field trip to go swimming, play games, and eat pizza!  A big thank you to Michele Erickson, Scott Holmes, and Sarah Richards for taking their entire day to help chaperone our class!

Of course there was Field Day on the last day of school, and the sun actually came out for the occasion!  Pam Gingue from District Office put that on, and did a fantastic job.  Here were some of the events, and thank you to those of you that joined us for the BBQ.

Smokey the Bear was a big hit.  The kids picked him (or her) flowers and spent a lot of time petting him trying to figure out if he was real.

There was the water bucket challenge...

water balloon toss,

and gunny sack races!

Stomp rockets,

a new twist on the egg-on-a-spoon game,

rock painting,

and the best bubbles EVER!

Last but not least, GRADUATION!!!  We did some rockin' out to celebrate moving on!  Here is the song DYNAMITE, in case your kinder wants to dance to it again!  (DYNAMITE!)

I am super proud of my class this year.  They have learned and changed so much in so many ways.  I have grown to love each of them!  It was truly a privilege to accompany them on their Kindergarten journeys!
